The Rockford Fosgate R2-500X1 is delivers 500 watts of RMS power and is stable down to 2 ohms. The Prime R2-500x1 uses ultra-efficient, Class D circuitry to deliver power without taxing your vehicle's electrial system. At 4 ohms, this amp is rated at 250 watts RMS, and at 2 ohms it puts out the full, 500 watts RMS.
These amps use Rockford's C.L.E.A.N. technology that gives you a clipping indicator light. This allows you to set your gains to the perfect level to deliver maximum power without distortion. As a result, you get hard-hitting bass that will help ensure the longevity of your subwoofer(s).Â
The Rockford Fosgate amplifiers use an unregulated power supply to deliver more than their rated power when voltages increase, and the internal Punch EQ corrects for acoustic deficiencies while devliering up to 3x the bass. The R2-500x1 has a variable infrasonic filter between 15-40 Hz to let you fine tune the low frequency output and includes a bass knob for quick, on-the-fly level adjustment.
